Kevin Werbach, Founder and Conference Host, Supernova Group
Kevin Werbach is an Assistant Professor of Legal Studies and Business Ethics at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is also the founder of the Supernova Group, a technology analysis and consulting firm. He advises companies, writes about emerging trends in communications and information technology, and organizes Supernova, a major executive technology conference. He co-led the review of the Federal Communications Commission for the Obama-Biden Transition Project.
Working alongside technology guru Esther Dyson, Werbach was previously the editor of Release 1.0, and co-organized the annual PC Forum conference. During the Clinton Administration, he served as Counsel for New Technology Policy at the FCC. Called “one of the few policy wonks who really got it” by Wired, he helped develop the United States Government’s e-commerce policy, shaped the FCC’s approach to Internet issues, and authored Digital Tornado, the first comprehensive analysis of the implications of the Internet on telecommunications.
A sought-after speaker and commentator, Werbach appears frequently in print and broadcast media including CNN, CNBC, NPR, ABC News, USA Today, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. His written for many publications, including Harvard Business Review, Fortune, Wired, The Industry Standard. Werbach is a fellow of the Center for Global Communications (GLOCOM) in Japan, a director of the TPRC Conference on Communication, Information and Internet Policy, a member of the International Editorial Board of I/S: A Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society, and an advisor to Socialtext, Knowledge@Wharton, and Public Knowledge.
Werbach is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, where he served as Publishing Editor of the law review, and a summa cum laude graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. He lives in the Philadelphia area with his family.
Jeanne Logozzo, Chief Strategist and Curator, Supernova Group
Jeanne Logozzo has enjoyed an extensive career in pursuing innovation in the areas of technology, marketing and new media. She currently partners with today’s top industry influencers to create new forums in a variety of media and event formats to advance important developments in the Internet, social media, communications and marketing industries.
Jeanne has partnered with Kevin Werbach to produce the Supernova Conference since 2004. In addition to creating integrated event and online programs for a wide range of companies — from emerging startups to Fortune 500 companies — she also helps pioneer the use of emerging social networking services with the Conference to create what has evolved into the newly launched Supernova Hub. In addition to working with the Supernova Group, she also currently manages the development of marketing and product launch programs for the top-rated technology blog, TechCrunch.
Prior to becoming an independent marketing consultant, Jeanne previously held executive marketing roles at Interleaf Inc., RR Donnelley & Sons, OpenText and most recently as CMO of Optika/Stellent. Jeanne holds an Executive MBA degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA degree from the University of Vermont.
Christopher Carfi, Editor, Supernova Hub

Christopher Carfi is an entrepreneur and is currently the CEO of Cerado, Inc. Cerado was founded in 2002 to provide software and services that enable businesses, organizations and associations to better connect and understand their customer and member communities. His blog, The Social Customer Manifesto, is a “Top 25″ marketing blog, and has won numerous other awards including “Top CRM Blog” in 2005, 2007 and 2008. He is also an active contributor to the ProjectVRM, based at the Berkman Center at Harvard University, which focuses on improving customer-vendor relationships and is creating tools to equip individuals with tools of both independence and engagement.
Prior to co-founding Cerado, Chris was a product marketing executive at Extricity, a provider of B2B integration services. He also spent nearly a decade at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) as a manager at Andersen’s Center for Strategic Technology in Palo Alto, California.
Chris grew up in Chicago, holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Northwestern University, and currently lives in the Bay Area with his family.
Howard Greenstein, Video/Audio Curator
Howard Greenstein is a Social Media Strategist and Evangelist, and President of the Harbrooke Group, specializing in helping companies communicate with their customers and constituents using the latest web technologies. His years of experience in the technology world, combined with his background as a coach helps him bridge the gap between business needs and technology requirements, allowing him to facilitate difficult business conversations and focus on the required results of any project.
Recently, Howard Greenstein was the co-founder and acting CEO of Social Media Club. Formerly, Greenstein was the Senior Director of the Non-Degree Management Programs at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at NYU. Howard was the Director of Operations for the Twin Towers Fund, which assisted the families of uniformed service heroes killed in New York on September 11th, 2001.
He has been involved in cutting edge technology applications including online communities and streaming media for over fifteen years. He has worked at startups including Sorceron and Netcast. As a Technical Evangelist for Microsoft’s Developer Relations team he helped gain acceptance and adoption of Internet Explorer 4, Commerce, SiteServer, and Windows Media. He worked on advanced technology projects for J.P. Morgan including a desktop video conferencing and online collaborative tools system, in 1993. Howard earned his Masters of Professional Studies from New York University’s world-renowned Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) and his Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.
Kelly Morrissey, Event Planner
Kelly Morrissey has developed an impressive reputation as an events and marketing communications expert in a variety of industries, with over 20 years of experience in marketing and marketing communications roles. She has produced and project-managed conferences, fundraisers, trade shows, special events, concerts and communication programs for numerous companies and causes including: Agfa, Creo, Digital Art Exchange, Polaroid, MANRoland, Sprockets, Alzheimer’s, and Friends of El Faro.
More recently she has managed conference and event logistics for Supernova, the Society for New Communications Research, and GamesBeat. She has also managed multiple projects for Corante and Beeline Labs helping her to incorporate social media as part of the marketing mix for event production.
In her most recent role she was interim Executive Director for a children’s nonprofit where she managed operations, fundraising and donor relations. Prior to becoming an independent marketing communications consultant, Kelly held director and management roles at Agfa, Digital Art Exchange, and Eaton. She holds a BS degree from Post University.
Dave DiNatale, Technology Coordinator
Dave DiNatale is a technological expert who has been providing technical support and web application development for the Supernova since 2005.
Over the past 15 years Dave has created online conference registration systems and provided support for companies that include: The MathWorks, Venture Beat, and TechCrunch. He has also designed hundreds of web sites and web-based applications, has acted as a project manager for various software projects, and has provided technical coordination & support for various conferences in the high-tech industry.During the same time period Dave has held positions as Director of Information Technology and Systems Architect for Inc 500 companies.
Dave lives just north of Boston. Prior to entering the technology field, he was a teacher in the Lexington, MA Public school system and graduated from Merrimack College.
